Hi all:
If you were compiling a 'best of' stones album that could only include tracks from Undercover and onward, say with a maximum of 15 songs, what would be on it? Order not important, just wondering what songs you'd include. Yes, you can include ABB songs of course!
Here's my list. The lack of ABB songs in it gives a good indication of how I feel about ABB, albeit with only a few days listening to it (a few days listening online, and bought the CD today):
Undercover
She Was Hot
One Hit To The Body
Slipping Away (Keith's greatest vocal ever! This song cuts into my soul and makes me nearly weep every time)
Hold On To Your Hat
Love Is Strong
You Got Me Rocking (studio version only, where it's raw and nasty, not live where the guitars are lifeless)
Mean Disposition
Flip The Switch
Anybody Seen My Baby
Out Of Control
Thief In The Night
Gunface
Rough Justice
Oh No Not You Again

You actually missed the two best songs of that period: Continental Drift and Laugh I nearly Died. |

Funny you mentioned those two! They were the two I was trying to sneak into the list but ended up not doing so.
Continental Drift is amazing in every way: unique, refreshing, reveting to listen to.
Laugh I Nearly Died is equally interesting to me - definitely in the top three on ABB - and shows they can still be creative when they want to.
I probably should've put these in. |

Are these really YOUR picks? I think you're right that this is what the record company would pick, but let's hear YOUR favs! |

The best songs are the other ones, most of the time, and we all know it.
Best song on Voodoo is Thru and Thru! If it wasn't for HBO he would've forgotten he sang it! |
