Dozens of pix to see next week and videos from All Down the Line and Shine a Light.

See you sunday, guys !

GotToRollMe Great shots, Bitch, thanks!

PartyDoll MEG Gotta make this one quick..my hour is almost up and got other things to do with my day..

Another fine show..personally liked Tuesday better..but nonetheless..the boys poured it on!!

Shine a Light was highlight of course..

This audience seemed less "sedate" than the London crowd on Tuesday. They were in it from the beginning..not just the last 7 songs or so!!!

Mick did seem to have some "voice" problems during SFTD and Keef did his usual flubs. But so glad I was there and enjoying these guys.

Yes LJ.. I am sure I will shed a few tears on Sunday..
Yes.. I still get goosebumps
Yes... it is all good

On to Prince tonight with SV(if she wakes up in time), Adrian L, Bitch, and Gazza.(and a few hundred more Stones fans-lol)
Sunday should be wild.... we have Special Delivery Jo Brownies, the RO crew with the edition of SV and Egon.
Don't want this to end.....

Mr Jurkka Whooa Shine a light! Nice! I hope they would put to the last show lots of new songs!
24th August 2007 09:43 AM
Gazza another blinder of a show, although I thought Tuesday's edged it. Mick sang 'Sympathy' quite flat as if he was having a few voice problems but for the rest of the show he sounded just fine. Minor quibble, otherwise most enjoyable. We had good seats in Block 101 on Ronnie's side. Both Meg and myself got some nice pics with the digital cameras but we'll both have to wait 'til we get home to upload them (Not of the standard some have posted but not bad)

This was the show Jacques was supposed to be going to, which made the inclusion of 'Shine a light' especially poignant

Spark me up! Stones defy smoking ban at arena gig
Last updated at 12:01pm on 24th August 2007

Rebellious rockers Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood taunted anti-smoking police at their concert last night.

Knowing they were being watched by council officers, the Rolling Stones members lit up on stage.

Halfway through their second British tour date at The O2 arena in Greenwich, Mick Jagger stopped to introduce the band. He pointed to bass guitarist Wood and called him "Middlesex's Marlboro Man".

Wood, 60, then took a huge drag on a cigarette at the rear of the stage, walked forward and blew smoke at the front rows. As fans cheered his defiance of the ban on smoking in public places, Richards walked forward, took out what appeared to be a cigarette and lit it.

Puff daddy: Keith claims he was only smoking cotton wool at the gig last night

Richards, 63, then said: "I'm only joking, it's only cotton wool."

But one audience member, said cigarettes were blatantly being smoked backstage.

The fan said: "You could see they were sneakily smoking during the introductions because of the smoke wafting up to the lights."

Greenwich council denied Richards was smoking a cigarette. A spokesman said: "Keith said it was only cotton wool which you can see."

Bosses at the venue already face a fine of several thousand pounds after the guitarists each enjoyed an illegal cigarette mid-concert on Tuesday.

Meanwhile ironically Mick Jagger's son has become the first man in London to be allowed to smoke legally in a pub.

Keith Richards flings the cigarette

James Jagger, 21, has been given a special licence to light up when he appears in a play at the King's Head theatre in Islington.

It is thought to be the first issued in the city since the introduction of the ban on smoking indoors.

The licence was granted after environmental health officers accepted that smoking was "integral" to the plot of the pair of black comedies he is starring in.

Jagger junior is set to play a Vietnam veteran and a Texan "village idiot" in a pair of one-act black comedies at the Islington theatre which is part of a pub.

A source at the King's Head theatre said: "The law has been a bit of a headache for some producers because you have to prove that smoking is vital to the integrity of the production. But with Vietnam as the backdrop it was obvious smoking was necessary.

"You can't have a group of macho guys puffing away on novelty chalk cigarettes - it would just look ridiculous.

"We didn't have any problems convincing Islington council that our case was genuine."

In character: James Jagger has permission to smoke in a play at an Islington pub.
Right: Rogue smoker: Ronnie Wood

Casualties of the ban have included The Last Confession, starring David Suchet, at the Theatre Royal in Haymarket.

Producers of the Vatican-set thriller, about the death of Pope John Paul I in 1978, were refused a licence to smoke on stage by Westminster council when the ban came into force on 1 July.

Audiences will be able to see James, a real-life smoker, perform from Tuesday next week until 23 September.

He will star alongside former East-Ender Shane Richie in two dramas by James McLure.

In Lone Star, set in a redneck Texan town, Jagger plays a smalltown simpleton; and in Private Wars he plays a poetic East Coast aristocrat recovering from injury in an army hospital.

An insider said: "When he was first cast we thought he'd be like his mum and dad - not much cop at acting. But apparently he is fantastic. He has blown the producers away."

It is Jagger's first professional theatre role and only his second adult acting job.

He has just finished filming a small part in Knife Edge, a classic English horror starring Dame Joan Plowright, Nathalie Press and Hugh Bonneville.

GotToRollMe Hey Meg, glad you're having such a good time. I really wish I could be there for Prince tonight.

And Gazza, thanks for everything. Jacques would have loved the show, I'm sure. Very fitting that they did "Shine A Light" last night.

VERY relieved to hear that SweetVirginia arrived safely. Egon should be showing up any minute now. Enjoy the weekend, you crazy lot!
