VoodooTattoo Mick Taylor was seen running around in the parking lot...and then inside earlier with his guitar....this may be the big moment.

BTW I want to put all of these
'album segments" together on one disc.

Boomhauer Toronto Tom:

First of all, wuuuuuzzzzzzz uuuuuuuup!!!!

Second, is it fucking loud in the Fleetcenter? Was it loud and clear for the phone?
09-03-02 11:22 PM
T&A I have a hunch that there was some sort of glitch (sound problem on b-stage). I'll bet you the plan was to play HTW and Satisfaction after the b-stage and before SFTD and JJF. That would make a lot more sense than doing them before b, leaving only two hot rocks after the b-stage.

betcha....

Stonesmillenium2001 playing two songs on the mainstage after playing the b-stage is a ripoff on the first night. they need to improve the setlist. the setlist is good. just choppy. maybe move the b-stage up a few numbers instead close to the end.
09-03-02 11:47 PM
Sir Stonesalot I'll bet we find out that there was a reason why that happened. Someone else said they thought that the B stage might not have been ready on time. This makes sense, power cord got yanked, the mics went down, new guitar tech forgot to tune the guitars....hell it could have been almost anything.

The more I think about it, the more plausible this seems.
09-04-02 12:11 AM
Boomhauer It seems like they should have played at least 2 more songs. But who knows. It seems like it was a good show. Can you imagine hearing Mick singing:

"The band's on stage and it's one of those niiiights!"

"Yeah you got, satin shoes!!"

"Unda-cova of da niiiiiiiight!" (Chiga-chiga bow-wow-wow-wow......)

Where in the hell is "Dance"? I think, this is just my opinion, that if you were at a show and all of the sudden Charlie hits the drums and the guitars come in with Daryl thumping the bass and Mick shouts "Hey What am I doing standin' on da corna of West 8th street and da Sixth Avenue.........Nothing, Keith whatcha, whatcha doin' (Keith Whistles).......Ahhhhhhh, I think the time has come to get up and get out........

GET UP!

GET OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUT!

Out in ta somethin' new!

Fuck, I would jizz in my trousers and have a huge stain!

T&A Stonesalot:

Right...the reason is unknown, but clearly they meant to head to the small stage after CYHMK...a natural. I'm sure Mick & Co. must have been frustrated, whatever the reason. I'm sure it pissed off a few folks...especially those near the main stage who must have been figuring on more than two tunes when they came back from B....ah, well, all a part of the drama of opening night. There were a few hitches at Oakland '99 opening night (I was there)...they decided on the spur of the moment to do MR and SFTD as encores...after apparently realizing they had neglected to play MR earlier after rehearsing for it all night earlier in the week. I'm sure they setlist will settle down soon.

Nellcote You are all wrong!

As I write this, having just driven the hour back from
The Fleet, I have the set list in my hands.

The B stage set up was intentional. We were told to expect
it right afer Satisfaction. I was four rows from the B Stage, we went there during Honky Tonk Women. From Mannish Boy to Brown Sugar....PURE ECSTASY!!!!

I NEED NOT TO GO TO THE ORPHEUM!!!!!

How will you ever get this close. I thought fifth row at Foxboro in 97 was pissa, this takes it!

Ole Nellcote got a face full of dry ice during JJF, have all the red confetti to prove it.

Partyed at Sullivans witb Wintah, Nanker Phelge, Stones Doug
Luxury 1, 12 x 5. It was the balls!

This show was fantastic! Some rough spots, however for an opening night, it went off great!

SEE YOU AT GILLETTE LOT 14B

TheSavageYoungXyzzy "Rocks Off" was absolutely incredible. As I stated in my little "I'll Write A Review Later" thing, I just stood up and screamed all the way through it. Through almost all the Exile set, actually, but "Rocks Off"... holy *fucking fucking fucking shit*... I just don't know how to describe it.

padre Did Mick sing Rocks Off better than on Voodoo tour? He was a bit lazy on that number back then taking "what's the matter with you boys..." -line an octave lower that it's supposed to be.
No Miss You? I sure won't miss that one. Sounds like we're in for a real treat. Same destiny for Satisfaction and we're looking at the best setlist for ages.
