ABC's new fall comedy The Knights of Prosperity may have to prosper without much help from Mick Jagger.

The rocker's participation in the weekly heist spoof sparked excitement when the show was ordered back in May; at one point, the comedy was even known as Let's Rob Mick Jagger. But since then, the Rolling Stones frontman has made himself so scarce the show's theme song might as well be Miss You.

"Mick has only filmed the pilot so far; it's the only episode he's involved in,'' said a spokesperson at public-relations firm Rogers & Cowan, which represents the singer-songwriter. Knights follows a ruffian crew of would-be thieves led by janitor Eugene (Donal Logue), who hatches an ill-advised plot to rob the swank apartment belonging to Jagger.

Jagger did several brief, very amusing scenes for the pilot during a one-day whirlwind of shooting in April in New Zealand, where the Stones had just completed a leg of their current world tour, A Bigger Bang.

The producers praised Jagger's work but clearly felt hurried. "We had a very short amount of time, about five hours, which was not a lot,'' executive producer and creator Rob Burnett told reporters recently.

Jagger hasn't appeared in any of the subsequent episodes filmed in New York, according to the network, nor is there a planned return date. The Stones will be touring again this fall.

Rumours have the producers hunting for another celebrity to take Jagger's place, but the network says stars aren't the point. "It's an ensemble piece, so the focus is on the ensemble, not the celebrity,'' ABC spokesperson Hope Hartman said.
