The best English folky of her time. Way better than Maddy Prior IMO. Got to know Trevor Lucas, her hubby, when he came back to OZ after her death. Did a fair bit of producing both film & audio before his untimely death. Whenever Fairport come Down Under they always visit their daughter. |

her daughter Georgia Lucas presented an award over here recently if memory serves.her husband Trevor can be seen sitting in Dylan's room at the Savoy in the film Don't Look Back.
not just a folky-and the greatest female singer of them all IMHO.....i absolutely love her voice.she was a very good songwriter as well. |

It's likely that many of the folks here would know her best for her vocals on Led Zeppelin's "The Battle of Evermore." |

I really like band Hi Fi Ian Matthews formed with David Surkamp of Pavlov's Dog in Seattle in the 80s. Talk about a strange pairing. If you want to hear it go here:

Nevermind. Crap - it used to be automatically accessable. Now you have to have a password to hear the jukebox in the discography. That guy runs a really good site though. If you e-mail him he may give out the passwords readily. It was probably just eating up to much bandwith. If your an Ian Matthews fan I would recommend pursuing the heavier rock sound of Hi Fi. And if your a Pavlov's Dog fan you can't lose.
