At the weekend my wife and i happened to stumble upon a Stones related historic site. We were visiting the ancient city of York, en route to Sheffield and we popped into to a cosy restaurant called Plunketts, The bar is upstairs and i couldn't believe my eyes when i went round the corner and saw a fantastic painting of Ronnie, and then one of Keith!! Things got even better because in a top floor i found all the boys autographs written in lipstick on the wall. - The restuarant make a big thing of this, they infer that the boys came here for dinner in the early 60's. I asked a chap who worked there and he informed me that the rooms were then part of a brothel !
It's worth a look and lovely food..PS no ladies of the night to be seen !! |
