Martha The show is in full swing right now. Have recieved 2 calls from Nellcote (he's hanging off the ledge of he stage) getting his ass kicked by Bob and the boys! Heard "You Ain't Goin' Nowhere" at 9:17 and at 9:50 cam the 2nd call.....he was well into "Highway 61".

I think Nellcote is in heaven right now!

He took me right with him!

wisertime Awesome picture.. It seems to be a really great tour, listened to "Not Dark Yet", "Tangled Up In Blue" from 08.23 show, his singing is strong and the band has never sounded so good, he's back in great form !!

I'm listening to "Modern Times" right now (bought it today) !!!

Nellcote IMHO, last evening, his voice got stronger as the night went on. He was really into it, he was sweating profusely under very subdued lighting, temps in the high 60's.
His mannerisims reminded one of big band leaders of yesteryear, nodding frequently to the players to stretch out, or wind it up. It was a hoot to see/smell the incense
burning, his Oscar perched in back of his stand. It was also frustrating to see his empty microphone, along with guitar in it's stand right next to him, and he not play it, however, that's the drill these days, as I'm told..
I was fortunate to be placed up at the rail, parallel to him, where I could see the whites of his eyes....

Highwire Rob Is he throwing any varied lyrics into "Tangled Up In Blue"?

I'd love to hear from people who've just seen him on how he's doing this song today.

Thanks.

wisertime I listen to the 8/20 show right now, it's amazing how good his voice is after a very disappointing european tour.

"Tangled Up In bLue" from 8/23 show is amazing, the best in years (better than the few versions he played last year).
