Has anyone got or seen this one? Is it worth 40 bucks? I heard that there is some VHS version of Ladies on circulation which has the songs overdubbed from some boot. The sound is nice but out of synch and because of this for example all of Mick's talking between songs is missing. Is the DVD one of these versions?
Any info if L & G is ever gonna get an official DVD release? |

I purchased the VHS version from E-Bay and on a scale from 1-10, give it a 61/2. Picture is good, sound O.K.
Interestingly, the boot I have "A few Strings busted" sounds like either a great audience or poor soundboard...volume is messed up as vocals far exceed music. |

go to his guy tom bush. He has spent 6 months fixing the sound and picture on L and G and done it on dvd. I have ordered one as the stones fans on this site say it is bloody awesome and better than anything else out there. Dont get the vhs crap. Send an email to this guy and he will answer your questions or send me you email address and ill get an email out to you when mine arrives next week as well as the info Ive received on it, cover etc. He aslo has 6 extra audio soundboard tracks on this dvd as well from the same era.

HereHello Brendon:
It would be unfair to compare the video\audio quality of L&G to anything
released in 2002. First off, the film was shot in 1972 on 16mm. Even if this
concert film was released offically, the grainy-ness of the video would
still be present. What I have done is remove the over-saturated reds that
caused flesh tones to be blurry.
Regarding the audio, this is a major improvement over the tape-hissy, mono
recording found on the video tape. If you have heard any soundboard
recording bootlegs from this era, that is what the audio sounds like.
I spent six weeks working on this ancient classic. If I wasn't satisfied
with the results, I wouldn't offer it to other stones fans.
