I picked up the remastered "Let It Bleed" at work today. I havn't gotten a chance to hear it on an SACD player yet but I was for the most part very pleased with how it souded on my regular player. Some songs didn't sound all that much different (Gimme Shelter unfortunatly was one of these). The two songs that had the most noticable difference to me were Love In Vain and YCAGWYW. Mick's vocals seem to be pushed more to the front in LIV and for the first time, you can pick out all of the instruments playing, especially Ry Cooder's mandolin which sounds amazing. As for YCAGWYW, its hard to even explain...It sounds like a brand new song. |
