JERRY HALL has banned MICK JAGGER from staying at the family home — even though it’s just down the road from where the ROLLING STONES are playing.
Mick’s ex-wife doesn’t want the wrinkly rocker flaunting new love L’WREN SCOTT in front of the couple’s children at their mansion in Richmond — a stone’s throw from Twickenham, West London, where the band played a sell-out show on Sunday.
Her decision means Mick is having to stay at £2,500-a-night Claridges hotel in the West End until the band complete their sell-out shows in the city.
Even though Mick and Jerry are still friends, the model has told pals she doesn’t want him around the house — particularly with a new squeeze in tow.
He has homes in France, New York and Mustique, but despite being worth £175million Mick has no base in Britain.
A source close to the Stones said: “It’s ironic that even though Mick lived just down the road from Twickenham for years, he will be staying at Claridges.
“He could have stayed for free at his old house but instead will have to pay a huge hotel bill. It’s probably going to cost him £20,000 for eight nights.“Jerry thinks it’s best for her and their children for him not to be at the house.”
Mick lived in the mansion with Jerry up until last June — even though the couple divorced in 1999.
He had a flat next door which was joined to the Richmond house by a door, so he could see their children ELIZABETH, JAMES, GEORGIA and GABRIEL.
Mick subsequently give Jerry the £6million home on top of her £10million divorce settlement.
It seems Mick is getting serious with L’Wren, who was in the crowd for Sunday’s brilliant gig. The couple have been dating for 18 months — a long time by Mick’s standards.
The Stones play London’s Astoria club tomorrow and Wembley Arena on Friday. After gigs in Glasgow, Manchester and Dublin, they return to Wembley next month and to Twickenham on September 20 for the gig that was cancelled on Saturday.
