Jair That kd Lang album, "Absolute Torch and Twang" is the best country music album ever recorded.

All the rest, including Cash, is crap, imo. You can put is the same "pot" the Neil Young Old ways (ouch - is awful), Desire, by Bod Dylan (it sounds he sang while was taking a shit) and, well, know better than me.

shit shit shit. All over.

M.O.W.A.T. Johnny Cash (my favourite country singer)

I also like Shooter Jennings although some might snicker at this, but I think his albums kick ass.

Try as I might, I just cannot get into Hank III.

I'm not sure whether one can classify any Rockabilly as country music or not. But some say it's (Rockabilly) rock n' roll in its purest form.

Desire IS a country album, technique and resoundingly speaking. "Joey" (11 endless minutes), One More Cup of Coffee, Romance in Durango & Sara, among others, are examples of how this album is unbearable. The only reasonable tune is Hurricane, but... 8 and a half minutes? Gimme a break! In this time you can dead several times.

Hey, thank you very much for the lesson on the origins of Rock and roll.

See how stupid I am. I could swear that the white pple had stolen the music of the Afro-Americans and "invented" the rock and roll, but now, in a certain way, you tell me that not.

Man, of course the blacks - alweays them - stole the white! Ooops, sorry!

Highwire Rob Some local boys here in SW Pennsylvania called the Povertyneck Hillbillies just played an incredible show at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds (original home of the Rolling Rock Festival).

Anyone had a listen? They've got a loyal and growing fanbase and have already had some national country attention. And they just finished a video shoot with Ben Roethlisberger!
