Paranoid_Android Anyone listen to Stern this morning/afternoon/evening (love SIRIUS)...check it out...the preformances were fantastic as were the interviews.

There was a thread a few weeks back about a reunited band from the early 70's...one that was at the top of thier game...could this be the band? I was only 8 in 72...so I dont know where they were in the rankings back then...read on...

BACK TOGETHER AFTER 35 YEARS
Joe Walsh came into the studio to talk about how one of his bands, the James Gang, reunited for their current tour. Joe explained that the main thing that prevented the group from getting together for a long time was his schedule with the Eagles, while his band mates, bassist, Dale Peters, and drummer, Jim
Fox, claimed they knew they’d end up getting back together all along. As Howard pointed out there were three female backup singers in the James Gang, Joe insisted he was happily married and never cheated with any women, much less the girls in his group.
MAYBE HE WAS 101
Joe acknowledged he was surprised he wasn’t named one of the 100 Best Guitarists by Rolling Stone, an omission Howard said
had shocked him as well. Joe went on to note that the Eagles were preparing to record a new album, noting his fellow band mates didn’t want to turn into “a karaoke band.”

Highwire Rob Yes! I read about the James Gang reuniting in the latest RS magazine. Here's a link to an excerpt from the article:

http://www.rollingstone.com/news/st...g_guitar_gods/2

If you read the full article, in the last paragraphs of the interview, Joe pays his respect to Mick & Keith's longevity. Also, there's a cool pic of Joe alongside his rockstar life mentor and all around bad influence, Keith Moon!

The RS interviewer describes how in 2003, poor Joe looked for his own name in the magazine's The 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time only to come up empty handed. HE WAS ROBBED!

And... Lucy Walsh is Joe's smoking hot blonde daughter.
