Gazza Yep..its used as a speed-skating rink during the winter and for major concerts during the summer

The Stones' 2nd visit to Norway this tour, as they played Bergen last September. Hopefully that'll mean a few shake-ups..

This is the 4th tour in which the Stones have played here, I think (1990 (2 shows), 1995 and 1998)

Boiling Although I'm not present I expect the stage to be at the far end of the picture, the VIP and press enclosures on the stands to the right and the concertgoers to gather where you see the ice skaters. I.e. the usual lay-out for concert at Valle Hovin.
The big problem with the venue is rain, as the public section is all concrete and no earth/ soil to absorb the water.
In case someone's wondering ;-)

Boiling Reckon it's 15-20 minutes to start. Norwegian "neighbourhood laws" calls for silence after 23.00 (11 PM) local time, so if the band intend to do a full show they better be prepared.
On the other hand, as it's 20.30 (8.30 PM) and still pretty light* here in Norway I reckon they want to hold back to do their lights - and the show - justice.
* Norwegian summer nights - with the sun up to about 22.00,(but will be setting at 21:34 today)even in Oslo) is a usual nightmare for visiting outdoor acts!
