For all of you stones/dinosaur freaks out there (and I'm sure there are many)-

Sticky vs Exile? Its like velociraptor vs T rex. Raptors are more impressive pound for pound, but T rex is T Rex.

Yes, I am a huge nerd for drawing that analogy.

Anxiously awaiting your NEXT production

Maybe a dance scene...
Just don't wear a sailor suit or Beatle Boots

those dance scenes sometime make it on to TV and websites like this... Tell you the thruth, i can only go so far...
BUT!!!
I do have some ideas, which hopwfully i can make happen...
My idea is... to get about 5 or 6 friends, and interviewing them for the upcoming punk rock week in the fall. my movie making buddies owe me a favor, so hopefully i can get them to help me using their DV cam. my movie was made with my laptop only. Two people I want to interview are Jello Biafra b/c he's old, and hopefully a young 18 year old kid i know who is " punk as fuck" tongue in cheek of course... no promises, but i got a lightbulb.

wgwalsh Gazza, my comment was not meant to be a subjective compliment, but rather an objective observation.

Keep up the good work. I really do enjoy reading your posts...Ian's too. Speaking of Ian, where has the ole boy been ?

Man, you guys need some thorazine. Moonlight Mile is a GREAT, I repeat, GREAT tune. One of the ten best damn songs they ever did.
10th August 2007 07:02 PM
ExileInLA Does this even really matter? Can't we all just say that both are brilliant pieces of work and leave it at that?

This conversation is the one you should have if someone says, "Exile or Undercover?" Well, Exile of course. Undercover is garbage.

So what did we learn from this - DON'T SHIT ON THE 1968-1973 STONES!

Wide As The Clyde "Sticky Fingers" is flawless, from start to finish. The one and only record Mick Taylor is put to proper use on. "Sister Morphine" would grace any record, anytime.

"Exile On Main St" is flawless/is flawed by being recorded in a fairly amateurish way*

(*Pick one. Fill 100 pages of this board using the other.)

Soldatti Sticky Fingers is a better record overall, but Exile is magic from start to finish. I go with Exile.

Chuck The problem I have with Exile is that it sounds like it was recorded in somebody's freakin' basement
