For anyone who saw Sunday's show and who was also at the No Security shows...
were those "onstage" seats (ok, they're not seats) REALLY much better than what was on offer behind the stage for $40 at the No Security shows (and which were by some distance the CHEAPEST seats at every show) ?

I have another question for those lucky bastards who saw the show "onstage"
What did you listen? The PA sound system of the musicians amps? |

My take on the "above stage standing" is that for 75.00 - 250.00 they're ok. I would definitely choose floor seats over onstage seats. The Stones never played to the "few" in them. Keith referred to them briefly during his set using the old John Lennon qoute "rattle your jewelry". He seemed a little embarrassed by it unless I'm reading him wrong. Mick's only comment was something like, "hey up there, don't fall down".

Throbby, even that you didn't attend the show there do you think they listen the musicians amps or the PA? I would love to attend a stones shows listening their amps instead of the PA.
I think they listen the PA as they are above the amps but not sure about it |

I read a review on Doug's board from someone in them, and he said there was an echo, but enjoyed the sightlines nonetheless. Drinks were available, as were restroom facilities--during the show!! WOnder why some of them looked so bored, then??
I will make RO proud on Friday night in Box 3, dont yous worry. Let you know about the sound on Saturday, Voodoo. |

I was right under the left side on-stage seats and there was not much excitement up there.
In fact, the entire crowd seemed far less into it this time compared to 2002! Maybe it was the heat. |

From RS.com reports the sound was suprisingly good, probably from the stage monitors which they are in front of. Shattered video on RS.com shows some footage from the top level boxes and also a peak into the boxes. It is a bit tight which might limit dancing a bit. Sight lines look excellent. The end all - be all, perhaps not, but a very fun new perspective of a show at half the price of front rows seats with free drinks, hell yeah, worth doing once. Not many will be able to say they have had that perspective. Those that don't have the tix will crap on them of course, but that's part of what makes them special. You can look down on the little people, LOL!
If you are a techno geek and want to see all the stage stuff up close it is definitely the way to go. |
