its not just THAT song.

they play Start Me Up, Tumbling Dice, IORR, Satisfaction, HTW, Sympathy, JJF and Brown Sugar EVERY SINGLE NIGHT, every tour.

those are great songs fellas, we all luv em, but don't ya think they've earned an occassional night off by now???

and can anyone out there actually tell the difference between any of the 3 versions of Satisfaction on Biggest Bang??

I'd like to see a few of these songs put out to pasture for good, but I'd settle for them rotating them in and out of shows. Theres 20 other songs that they know stone cold and can play really well that could fill in for any of those songs

end of set list rant.

shakedhandswithkeith just back home,

it was a great show, the band was on fire, Mick missed some lyrics in the beginning (LSTNT and ROCKS OFF) and Keith some riffs. The sound was first bad than good and in the end bad again. Sympathy was totaly bad. The highlights Ruby Tuesday and Rambler. During Tumbling Dice Keith walked about the stage like a Prima Ballerina - never saw that before. I wish they will someday put some other songs into the setlist and put Satisfaction, BS, HTW, SMU, IORR... in a case and loose the key.

Thanks for your help texting the setlists and giving your reviews for this leg of the tour, Matthias. Maybe Keith was riffing on this? http://novogate.com/board/968/238322-1.html

Bitch So cool they played ROCKS OFF!! Everybody at Rocks Off should sing it loud and proud!

I'm always hearing voices on the street,
I want to shout, but I can't hardly speak.
I was making love last night
To a dancer friend of mine.
I can't seem to stay in step,
'Cause she come ev'ry time that she pirouettes over me.

And I only get my rocks off while I'm dreaming,
I only get my rocks off while I'm sleeping.

This song is so fvcking HOT!

Just think about it. I know the rumours have been floating around for the last 35 years, but this may have been you last night ever posting a Stones set list. Yes, I have heard about the 2008 possibilites, but you never know. If this is it, what a fucking ride it was!!~

TooTough Here´s my review:

Well, I hate seated shows to be honest and I withstood
to buy tickets to what was maybe the last German show.

But two weeks ago the situation changed as some cheap
seats at the side of the stage appeared and I had the idea
to take my 7-year-old son to the show – “pass it on”!
So a dream came true, 8 years after he experienced his
first show in Köln 1999 – in mummy´s womb.

If my father would have taken me to a Stones show when I was 7 –
it would have been a 1976 show – but he didn´t.

The show did not seem to sell well, they were giving away
tickets in silly radiospots and even worse internet competitions.
Of course I took the chance and … won 5 other tickets. So my
wife and 4 of our friends were there for free (everyone really
liked the show, btw). The woman at the counter said that 1000
winners won the competition, so they gave away 5000 tickets.
But to be honest: I rather have those giveaway-fans than empty
seats. The reason for all that mess is commonly known.
But the stadium was finally packed! Great to see!

This can´t be a fair review from a fanatic (as it usually is) because
my son was with me and I was mostly focused on him: earplugs,
eat, drink, toilet – what a father has to do.And I must say that I didn´t
mind the setlist and the warhorses etc. as I usually do when I´m there with
my other fanatics. This time it was just me and my son. After the
opening act I taught him the first “golden” J rule of Stones shows:
“Let´s go peein´ before the Stones are on! NEVER go peeing when
the show is on!” “OK; Dad!”

And really, he enjoyed the 2 hour set (what is v e r y long for a child).
He moved, looked at the people, clapped his hands occasionally, asked
“When do they play GetNo?”, waved at Mick when he was coming to
our side etc. He was following the whole show. I was very happy to see
that!

Some remarks about the show itself. Mick IS the master, the crowd was
in a very good mood and he pushed it the whole show. They could have
played anything but chose the safe way (as too often). Highlights were
the intro and SMU (the people at the side saw the band coming
downstairs behind the stage and started yelling), Ruby Tuesday, Love
Is Strong (with a fantastic harp by Mick and great intro by Keith) – but
Midnight Rambler was once again worth the ticket price. I get shivers
while typing this! This song is definitely co-written by Satan. The atmosphere
in the whole stadium changes the second Keith starts playing the intro blues
licks and Mick joins with the harp. That´s the moment when I want to have
the microphone and tell the whole stadium: “Listen good, folks, THIS is
what the Rolling Stones are about!” Riffs, harmonica, call-and-response,
changing tempo and mood and…. Simply fantastic! The crowd went nuts,
even all the contest winners who maybe thought first “What is that song?”

JJF was a killer! Keith hammered the riffs as it should be, distorted
and loud.

SOUND: wasn´t good all the time at the side of the stage. A bit muddy at
times and too “high”. Charlie´s snare as always was not different from
the toms.

A great show for me and my son.
