Paranoid_Android just heard TOO MUCH BLOOD (vocal dub version)...it is totally out of sight!!!

I love those remixes they play on SIRIUS...does anyone have this all any/all dance remixes available? I also love the Undercover they sometimes pull out...forgot the name of that mix!!!

Jair Greeeeeat fucking song.
Love the lyrics, mainly the part on that jap guy
cut off the girlfriends head and eat her piece by piece, tooking her bones to the Bois de Boulogne. Man, this Mick Jagger guy is very elegant!!!

Oh, and I forgot to mention: the line "truth is stranger than fiction" is priceless. Is this a Mick line?!

Sorry, no remixes as far as I can remember right now...

Too Much Blood

I want to dance, I want to sing
I want to bust up everything
to make some love
want to dance, I want to sing,
I want to bust up everything
and make some love

I can feel it in the air feel it up above
feel the tension everywhere, there's too much blood
Too much blood
well alright

Everything you see on the movie screen is tame
???

A freind of mine was this japanese, he had a girlfriend in Paris.
He tried to date her, in six months and eventually she said yes.
You know he took her to his apartment, cut off her head.
Put the rest of her body in the refrigerator, ate her piece
by piece. Put her in the refrigeratior, put her head in the
freezer. And when he ate her and took her bones to the Bois
de Boulogne. By chance, a taxi driver noticed him burying the
bones. You don't believe me; truth is stranger than fiction.
We drive through there every day.

I want to dance, I want to sing
I want to bust up everything
be number one
want to dance, I want to sing,
I want to bust up everything
and have some fun

I can feel it in the air feel it up above
feel the tension everywhere, there's too much blood
Too much blood
Well alright

Did you ever see the Texas Chain Saw Massacre? Horrible, wasn't it.
You know, people ask me "is it really true where you live in Texas,
is that really true what they do around there, people?" I say,
"yea, every time I drive through the crossroads I get scared, there's
a bloke running round with a fucking chain saw. Oh! Oh! oh No, he's
gonna cut off, Oh no. Don't saw off me leg, don't saw off me arm."
When I go to the movies, you know, I would like to see something
more romantic you know, like "An Officer and a Gentleman" or
something. Something you can take the wife to, you know
what I mean?

I want to dance, I want to sing
I want to bust up everything
and have some fun
want to dance, I want to sing,
I want to bust up everything
and make some love

I can feel it in the air feel it up above
feel the tension everywhere, there's too much blood
Too much blood
Well alright

Pretty ladies don't be scared, pretty ladies don't be scared.
Pretty ladies don't be scared, yeah, there is still so much love.

Yeah, too much...

CraigP Holy Shit!

I've been listening to this song (Undercover version, lately, and TODAY I was thinking of making an appreciation thread for it!!!

Very coincidental, I need a reality check.

"Ever see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre? Horrible, wasn't it?
You know, people ask me: 'Is it really true, well, you live in Texas, is it really true what they do around there, people?'
Hey now every time I run to the crossroads I get scared-there's a bloke running around with a fucking chainsaw. OOOH!
Oh, no, no-he's gonna cut off me... Oh, no, don't saw off me leg... Don't saw off me arm."

Classic!

i agree about the guitar work, but even after all these years i still don't know if i like the song, it's ambitious, and polyrhymic hard funk ,like much of UC, an album I like very much. it's an interesting song and mick deserves credit for taking such a divergent path on a stones song, i've read where keith refused to play on it and so his guitar tech barber did the honors, and quite well as you mentioned

MrPleasant Nice song, but what gets me going right now is my own blood, which is as clear as an azure sky of deepest summer. You can rely on me.

Are you somehow worried about it? Do you think this can mean something, like a mental disorder or something???

I stopped being everybody's favorite pet doctor, ever since I tried to cure my neighbour's dog out of his misery.

gotdablouse Yes, excellent groove, maybe a tad too many horns ?
The long outtake on the rare OBR LP (maybe a CD later) is quite a good too, and the guitar is even more impressive. It sounds like Mick was playing rythm on that one too. Wonder why they never played it live, certainly as deserving of it as its less ambitious cousin "Rock and a Hard Place".
