telecaster Sonny was just on the radio in Chicago this morning

He blamed Altamont on The Stones of course. He said it was "entirely their fault because they waited 2.5 hrs after the last band and wanted an aggitaded audience"

He also again said he put a pistol in Keiths ribs to make he keep playing

He is full of shit

Ten Thousand Motels Well, I suppose there's plenty of culpability to go around. But The Stones didn't kill Hunter, the Angels did.

Valid point, but they could have disarmed him quite easily.

Sometimes sharks and Bears don't kill humans when they attack us. We don't know why... I do know why, BUT! I'm afraid of Sharks, Bears and H.A.!

Kinda. I used to drink at a bar in western Mass that was frequented by the local Angels chapter. It was small and seedy but it had the cheapest beer around. I never had any problems with them. Which is kind of surprising as I could get loudmouthed drunk sometimes. But there I just drank my beer, played the juke box and looked straight ahead.

I've met many, lived near a clubhouse. You can feel the the violence in the air. I've met many who were very cool, yet I knew, if you showed disrespect, you were toast.
If for any reason you become a mark, you're fucking toast!
The grudge Sonny has for The Stones he will take to the grave!

Which really makes a case against the Stones...Anybody who thought that the Hell's Angels would quietly disarm hopped up negroes with guns was, at the least, negligent.

The urge to disarm vs. stab to death gets blurred when one is jacked on crank!

Sonny cannot possibly be full of shit...at best, he can only be full of shit up to his neck...anything beyond that would simply leak out of the hole in his trachea

SheRat I've said this before, but one of my favorite bartenders at one of my favorite gay biker bars is Sonny's nephew.

We call him Yosemite Sam (on the left, leaning out of the shot):

He says Sonny's only really kept around by his crew because he's famous now--like a doddering old WWII hero...Yosemite also thinks it is more complicated than blaming on the Angels or the Stones.
