Topic: Am I Insane? Return to archive
08-20-02 03:16 AM
no_cole_porter I've been reading this board and the comments on this board since 1999, And after a long time of reading the great discussions on here, I've come to the question of my sanity.

I think compared to everyone else on the board I'm insane. Bridges To Babylon was the first album that I knew was the Stones.

I'd heard of them before and knew of them as the band that did Satisfaction and Paint It, Black. But I heard Anybody Seen My Baby? on MTV and fell head over heels in love with that song.

I still love that song to this day. I think Bridges To Babylon has some of their best work on it.

I loved Voodoo Lounge as well and think that's a great album as well and to my ears songs like Love Is Strong, Anybody Seen My Baby? are just as good as Jumpin' Jack Flash or Start Me Up.

I like Emotional Rescue. I enjoyed Steel Wheels a lot. I don't think that The Stones have lost their touch. I think they improve and get better with every album.

I am very excited about this tour. I've never seen the boys before and I'm hoping that this might be my chance. But with all that said I think I'm insane.

It seems like no one really digs Emotional Rescue, Doesn't like the thought of 40 Licks having only 4 new songs, Doesn't like most of the new stuff by the Stones and other things of that sort.

Am I the only person who wonders these things? Am I going insane? Is it only a matter of taste?

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
