Topic: Ampeg? Return to archive

John Wood I was looking at Toronto Toms photos at the Shidoobee sight and it looks like Keith's amp may have been an Ampeg. Did anyone at the gig notice what amps Keith and Ronnie were using? This would have a big impact (for the best) on the sound of their guitars.

John Wood I think I was looking at Darryl's amp. I saw more pictures and I think Ronnie and Keith both used Fenders. Anyone know for sure?

Stonesmillenium2001 there were fender amps onstage. ampegs are heavily used by bass players. only a few guitar players use ampegs.

scull I think Keith and Ronnie now use Fender, but I think Keith used to use Ampegs back in '69 when he also used an Ampeg (the Dan Amstrong plexiglass) guitar.

A great site for info on this is at:

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
