Mathijs Now I know what Don't Stop reminds me of! The chorus ("the only thing that I have from you") is exactly the same as the bridges in jagger's Just Another Night (and I saw you waiting at the station..)!

I knew I heard it somewhere before...

padre Just listened through it for the 1st time. Yes that one part sure sounds like it came offa Just Another Night. The first thing that came to my mind from the chorus (don't stop...) was Let's Work!
And what's the thing with the stop in the middle? Do you sit tight? It's one miss Britney Spears' trademarks. Or her producer's. I think every Britney song has that at some point.
The song is definetely Mick's attempt for a hit. Very probably from the Goddess sessions. It's not THAT bad but it's not Start Me Up either. There is whole lotta worse stuff on the charts nowadays...

gotdablouse It sounds like an outtake from "Primitive Cool" ! A blend of Throwaway/Kow Tow and Say You Will witht he Another Night chorus thrown in for good measure. Wonder how Keith could let that slip by, after all he was telling everyone at the time that he'd "slit Mick's throat" if he went on a solo tour !

The hammond organ is a nice touch though...

I was recently telling a friend that unlike guys like Springsteen up to now the Stones had always been able to come up with a "sparkle" or shall I say a "glimmer" in their music...Haev they lost it ? Maybe it's a good thing we're not gettinga new album after all...

Mick and Keith seemed to be very proud of the new output and particularly that it was really NEW stuff...Instead of focusing on new stuff they could have unearthed the lost but not forgotten "Honest Man" from the VL sessions. Now that would have rocked !

How does the lyrics go otherwise on that track?
