Mr T have they rehearsed Sympathy yet? Leaving out Satisfaction is one thing - but I sure as hell hope they don't plan on dropping this - it's gotta be in the stadium shows at least

anybody wanna help put my mind at ease? It would take a hell of a setlist for me to get over the idea of never hearing my favorite Stones song live. Oh well - if we got CTHMK, Stray Cat Blues, Bitch, Shelter & Hand of Fate I think I'll live, but...

parmeda "have they rehearsed Sympathy yet?"

MrT...
I'm with you on this one...definately my favorite, live. Let's keep our fingers crossed, shall we?

Staffan I can live without the piano-drenched SFTD we have heard the last decade. I'm happy hearing Stray Cat blues instead.

Mr T that'd be fine with me - except this is my first Stones show - and you never know, it could be my last - so you can imagine I'd wanna hear my favorite song.

btw, I liked Sympathy in the last decade - not as good as Ya Yas - but pretty good

CousinCocaine I'm really bored with these stadium versions of Sympathy from the 90's. But I would love a shortend guitar version like in 69 !!

In general they should rework more of the Biggies. If they have to play them, okay, - but give them some new life, - try new versions !

parmeda MrT,

In the '99 tour they closed their shows with SFTD...the 3 times that I saw them that year, the fans were taken to "another level", so to say. That song, and if it's performed as well now as it was then...you will be in for a treat.
Staffan & CousinCocaine made good points, I can see & hear the difference as many times as I've seen them...but I guess it goes to show that practice, really does, make perfect.
I hope it makes the set list.

Mr T well - I am seeing them at Giants Stadium - they could probaly get away with not playing it in clubs - maybe even arenas - but I doubt stadiums - they gotta do it. That & Shelter are my 2 musts - CYHMK, Bitch & Stray Cat Blues would be the best ones to hear that would surprize me.

and I gotta see Keith do Happy (if not Little T&A)

Staffan What did SFTD sound like when they played it in 1970? Any major differences from the 69 tour? I have a soundboard recording of an incomplete SFTD from 70 which is splendid! Is it from Paris, perhaps?

marko Yep mate, theres sbd recording from paris-70,they did 3 shows
there,,,well,i have them all....i think one of them isnt
complete.
