Hello to All!
I'm new member, nice to be here - it is greatest place that ever was dedicated to the Rolling Stones, that's for sure!
Well, I have just some question, so would like just to
talk about with you. A week ago I got "Flowers" CD and
heard for first time "Backstreet girl", "Ride on, baby",
"Sittin' on a fence" and "Please go home". So, I am not
sure, of course, but I think that that was Brian who played accordeon and glouckenshpil (wow...what a hard name of instrument - I'm sorry if I write it wrong) on "BS girl"
and marrimba on "Ride on, baby". What do you think about???
Also, I think it is Brian's marrimba on "Yesterday papers",
am I right???
Also, could you please tell me - does the songs where Brian sing exists at all????
I hope it is not so stupid questions...
Thank you very much!!!
Sincerely,
Taras Stanislaus Ljubchik

Hi Taras - great to have you here and thanks for posting your message and for your nice comments!!

According to any books I've read listing the information on these sessions (ie Felix Aeppli's "Ultimate Guide") Brian plays french accordion & organ on "Backstreet Girl"; BOTH "Ride on Baby" and "yesterdays papers" feature Brian on marimbas and Jack Nitzsche on harpsichord)..so thats a pretty good piece of guesswork!
>Also, could you please tell me - does the songs where Brian sing exists at all????
Theres no recordings available of any Stones songs featuring Brian on lead vocals. It doesnt seem that any were ever recorded in this way.
Hope thats of some help!
