Does anybody think Mick will do a short tour, to support his new solo album? Like maybe play in small venues? |

Mick has indicated he would like to do a short ten-city tour around the time of the album's release. It should be noted that Mick expressed the same sentiments during the mixing of WANDERING SPIRIT in 1992 and only played one club date in New York. Let's not forget his ambitious plans for a world tour to support PRIMITIVE COOL. At the time Bill German reported in his Beggars Banquet fanzine that Mick would play Europe and America in 1987 and on to Japan, Australia, and South America in early 1988. German stated Mick would have some sort of jungle-motif stage design. The only thing that happened was an impromptu set with Jeff Beck on the set of a video shoot in LA and the STEEL WHEELS warm-up tours of Japan and Australia with Joe Satriani and Keith clone, Jimmy Rip. The set lists were almost identical to the Stones' set lists for 1989-90 and featured the new presentation of tight arrangements and professional back-up singers. Much as I like WANDERING SPIRIT and some of PRIMITIVE COOL, Mick solo is a pointless exercise. Its just a chance for him to not have to share the decision-making with Keith. Mick Jagger's best creative outlet will always be The Rolling Stones. |

That would be cool. I'd check out a Toronto gig. If the upcoming solo album is half as good as Wandering Spirit, it will be worth laying out the cash.
Granted, I agree that the solo efforts will never come close to SF/BB/EOMS etc., but the material still beats out half the CDs churned out by today's music industry. |

If Jagger decides to have tour dates for solo album its best when it is brief. |
