Looking for websites that provide cheap & legal downloads
of albums
So like I-tunes, but cheaper.
As I only download via P2P, i have no idea about
legal possibilities :-)
Who can point me in the right direction(s) and make an honest downloader out of me?
Thanks,
Uncle Egon

There are no cheap "legal" sites...there are sites that will charge you a monthly rate, or 10c a song, but just because you pay doesn't make it legal...not too mention charging it leaves a trail right your door...also beware the Russian pay sites..heard some horror stories about misappropriated funds
You want to do some old fashioned trading>

I agree...iTunes...quick, easy, user friendly, and reletivly cheap as far as retail goes...and you can pick & choose actual songs...not entire albums... |

Emule is like the friend you had when you were a kid
and which your parents thought was not suitable for you
cos he got you in all sorts of trouble.
The friend that wasn't there at the highschool reunion
cos he'd died of an overdose. |

As far as I can tell, all SoulSeek costs is your soul.

Soulseek. Check it out, Egon:
http://www.slsknet.org/
Most of the files are MP3s, though.
I'd go with Bit Torrents:
http://www.utorrent.com/
But legal? Hmmm, can't think of anything legal, sorry.

We can give you lotsa illegal links ( I've got a really good one that has virtually everything including the COMPLETE Stones catalogue) but legal, hmm that's a tough one. Guess we're all crims here.
Have you tried emusic.com for folk/country/blues, & it's cheap |
