WOOD WITNESSED RICHARDS FALL

ROLLING STONE RONNIE WOOD has described his horror at witnessing bandmate KEITH RICHARDS tumbling from a tree in Fiji. The guitarist had to undergo surgery for fluid on the brain after landing on his head, forcing the band to cancel a number of tour dates. Wood says, "I was sitting right behind him when it happened and I heard this massive thud, I spun around, and there he was on the ground. He'd cut his gums up on impact, he was very bloody, and clutching his head." The rocker adds Richards is a changed man since the accident in April (06): "I think it was a kind of wake-up call for him. His attitude is better now, and you can see it in everything he does. It's like he knows he is lucky to be alive, and is well happy about it."

I was gonna tape it but I forgot to set the timer. Heard it was a good one...also heard that Pee Wee was on another show at the same time...would have liked to have seen that one too.
