jb Exile is , imo, the greatest record ever recorded. It makes anything I dislike about the band pale in comparison. This album sums up everything stonesey.

aladdinstory yeah and slagged upon its release, judging from how little of it was played in '72, I don't think even the Stones, especially Mick (who still is lukewarm about it!)realized what they had wrought in that "dirty, filthy basement". simply the culmination of a string of recordings unpararelled by any band before or since, I like GHS very much, but it was a different band after Exile, and it was Mick T's finest hour, well actually 38 min. and as much as Keith drives Exile, Taylor seems to have taken the wheel with GHS and the tour which followed. I'm not saying Keith wasn't a presence (Starfucker attests to that) but Taylor had really came into his own at that point.
