Zet de Rolling Stones in de TOP 10 !
Op 22 augustus zal de single Streets of Love / Rough Justice uitkomen in
Nederland, momenteel staat deze al genoteerd in de tipparade.
Wij willen de Stones verrassen met een top 10 hitnotering. Daarom doen wij
hierbij een appèl op alle Stonesfans in den lande om in de week van 19 t/m
25 augustus de single te kopen bij winkels die aangesloten zijn bij de Top
100, zodat we ook daadwerkelijk gezamenlijk de Stones die tophit kunnen
bezorgen! Daarmee geven wij uitdrukking aan onze waardering voor de Stones.
Let op: het is belangrijk om juist in de week van 19 t/m 25 augustus de
single te kopen, want de hitlijst wordt samengesteld op basis van verkopen
in deze week!
Enige informatie over de single: deze is verkrijgbaar als 2-track cd-single
in een kartonnen hoesje , maar er is ook nog een speciale rode 7" vinyl
single verkrijgbaar. De bovenste 50 posities van de Top 100 wordt elke
zaterdag uitgezonden door de TROS op Radio 3. Alle grote winkels tellen mee
voor de Top 100: Free Record Shop, Van Leest, Music Store, Media Markt, V&D,
Bijenkorf etc.
Tenslotte nog een tip: Free Record Shop verkoopt de cd-single in die week
voor 3,75 euro, Van Leest verkoopt de rode vinyl editie waarschijnlijk voor
3,99!

Hi guys, this for the Dutch fans ONLY, but anyway to make the long story short this is a summary:
22 Aug will see the Dutch release of the new single SOL/ RJ. We would like to surprise the Stones by pushing them into the charts, preferably a top 10 position.
We would like to persuade Dutch fans into buying the new single in the week 19-25 Aug.. The charts will be on air on Saturday 26 Aug.

that really sucks !!! we don't have to help A bigger bang to come in the top 10 charts, come on people !!! this is realy a not stones thing, this album will defenitly be number one in Holland for sure !!! we don't need this stupid thing, we'll buy it anyway...

MichaelD, read m'boy. It's about the single version for SOL/RJ, not about the album. Many fans will buy an album, but not every single CD-single or vinyl-single. That's what the appeal is about.
I think it's moronic personally, because I don't give a shit if the single will have a Top-10 position in the charts anyway. That's only good money for The Stones, it won't really change my life I think. And, spending extra money to that I can ultimately have 2 or 3 media carrying SOL, that's out of the question of course!! |

No it won't. Get real. The Stones are out in the general view. I would really be surprised if it did even reach a higher-than-position 5 in the album charts. Not that it matters. Charts are rigged anyway, they have been for years and years, so who really cares. The only thing that matters is if you like an album or not. |

It will be #1 in US maybe, but for a week. No chances for two or more weeks on top. My prediction is #1 or #2 the first week and #5 the second. |
