Her quotes are the basis for alot of the use, that's all. She's a baseball groupie dude... I'm not saying she's lying, I'm just considering the source, she's a starfucker. We've seen this with The Stones for years.
Baseballl knew about this stuff in the mid 90's and did nothinfg. This isn't about a player. Just like The Broncos winning a championship on Roids...
either accept the reality or hang onto this 20/20 hindsight. I'm moving on. I don't give a fuck if people dope, my life goes on.
Think about it. you know how bonds and this stuff will play out. He's no different that a politician or a rock star. Not held to the standards or laws as we would be...

Riffhard At the end of the day Bonds has cheated. He has perpetrated something that the man who holds the legitimate HR record never did. He used "peformance enhancing" drugs with the full intent of improving his game even though he knew that it was illeagal to do so. He used druge banned by MLB,and he did it with sole intent of increasing the size of his bank account. I can not accept his record. Nor can I understand those that would defend his spot in the record book.

Again I gotta go back to the question. How many HRs would Hank Aaron have hit if he juiced? 800? 850?

Henry Aaron hit all of his HR's with absolutly no "performance enhancing" drugs in his system. That spells case closed for me!

the only thing not true is that the drugs weren't banned by baseball, however, they were illegal. Weird, baseball kinda did itself in....
I heard Aaroon corked his bat, is that true? j/k!

Fiji Joe Where is Travis Bickel when we need him?

5th August 2007 06:55 PM
_Boomy_ I never really thought about the $ aspect of it. I guess that he did help himself financially. Not a lot of 40+ year old outfielders are getting 16 million bucks for one season.

Look at that picture of him in drag. He looks like the Incredible Hulk.

You don't get that from just lifting weights and eating cans of tuna.

No kidding...not at 40 you don't not enough time in the day to do that...dude's a joke

sirmoonie Howe the hell did he think he'd get away with this? Steroids scandals were dating to the mid-80s. Huge ones in early 90s. He probably got told that his use would be undetected, so go for it. He made a choice and figured he'd escape judgment later - he was wrong.

Thats still a mess of home runs, though. A boat ass fucking mess of home runs. Phenomenal achievement, no matter what he was on.

If he thinks the fans "love" him enough, I can see that guy going for 800, which would put it out of reach forever, assuming baseball tests for steroids now. I assume it does, or this debate about him is pointless.
5th August 2007 08:00 PM
_Boomy_ The mid-90's is when a lot of guys were starting to get a lot of dingers.

Some players had fluke years, too. I mean, Brady Anderson was a good player, but he had a fluke year with the 50+ dingers the one season. He wasn't a home-run hitter.
5th August 2007 08:47 PM
sirmoonie EVERYONE was on notice after Ben Johnson. Except baseball, or maybe they were, and just needed to boost a game losing market share to other games with superior athletes? Maybe Bonds got the green light from the higher ups, he's just the guy getting biffed because it worked out the best for him.

But thats still a piss load of home runs - how the hell do you hit 755 home runs? Holy damn.

Ten Thousand Motels Barry Bonds Ties Home Run Record
Written by Jalapenoman
Story written: 05 August 2007

The true legacy of BALCO Barry Barry Bonds hit his 755th home run to tie Hank Aaron's record. This places him in a probable "asterisk" record if/when he moves ahead of Aaron after hitting his next home run.

To counter this from happening, Bud Selig (commissioner of baseball) announced that all baseball players will receive two extra home runs for every year of their careers that they were steroid free.

This moves Aaron (and Babe Ruth) back ahead of Barry Bonds and means that the slugger may have to play another two years to set a record.

The announcement of the new home run statistics was greeted with total universal approval by everyone except Bonds, who broke a watercooler and two lockers when he heard the news.

Such are the days in the life of Balco Barry.

About as true as it gets...and he hit is 714 in many less at bats than Bonds or Aaron...and he was doing it in a supposed dead ball era...hitting more home runs than entire teams...his home run per at bat ratio is best of all time if I'm not mistaken...and consider he was the best left handed pitcher in the game during the early part of his career (still holds the record for youngest AL pitcher to ever win the ERA title)...sounds cliche, but he really was the best to ever play...when you consider how much he dominated the sport
