Nellcote Note to folks living in the Fenway neighborhood: Keep your ears open. In an interview with the Globe yesterday, Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger and his grizzled guitar-slinging sidekick Keith Richards revealed that they'll walk on the Fenway Park stage tomorrow for an initial sound check. (Don't try to get into the park, however, because Clear Channel's got the place locked up tight.) The Glimmer Twins, who arrive in the next day or so, also said the band had been invited to make an even bigger bang by playing a third show, but scheduling proved impossible. The Stones are off to Hartford after Tuesday's show.

Guitarist Ron Wood is staying busy while the band's in Boston. A show of his artwork opens Friday at Newbury Fine Arts, and buyers get a chance to meet Woodie at a VIP reception next week. ''The guy's an artist," said gallery director Elizabeth Novick. ''Wait till you see his portrait of Jack Nicholson. The twinkle in Jack's eye is great. They were just hanging out at Ronnie's place in Malibu."

YA BABY, GITYOUSUMOFTHAT!
