ElmoLewis When I first heard that we were in for a greatest hits retrospective that only included a few new songs I was
disappointed. However, when I heard that the band has
recorded the bones of 28 new songs and will undoubtedly
record during the tour (and who can deny that with the songs rehearsed and the fact that we will hopefully get some of the club material ) and a possible new studio album
that we are in for a lot more than the fans of most bands ever get. We all know that the critics never give this band a chance. I for one think that this band still has it. Many bands as they get older try to recreate their heyday(when is the last time the WHO released new material). As Mick said in 25x5 " We run the gambit of Pop music". They still do! The Rolling Stones have earned a luxury that no other band has ever had they dont have to depend on record sales, hit songs , AIR PLAY(which their new stuff never gets), they are able to concentrate on releasing whatever material they see fit and we the hardcore fans who realize that the Stridex rules dont apply here becuase these men fought to do their music thir way ae te luckiest fans in the world.

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
