The Kinks’ founding member Dave Davies will have to spend another month in the hospital as he recovers from a stroke.
The "You Really Got Me" guitarist, 57, collapsed on June 30 in London following radio interviews to promote his solo material.
His spokesman Alan Robinson says, "He is paralyzed on the right-hand side of his body, but he retains some feeling and he can still hold a guitar plectrum."
"These small things mean a hell of a lot. They're small but very important."
"Dave is taking his illness with typical good humor, and with a positive demeanor."
His representative believes Davies should recover after sessions of physiotherapy.

I just heard this yesterday although it happened over a month ago... I hope he is alright so that I get to see the Kinks reunion tour which was supposedly in the works when Dave had the stroke...and Ray is still recovering from his gunshot wound....What a band!!! |

I had tickets to see Dave here in Sacramento in July, that show was cancelled, but just got rescheduled for November. I wonder if it will still happen. |

Yeah, but Dave was in excellent shape before he suddenly had a stroke. Many people are in great shape before a sudden stroke or heart attack. Hopefully, Dave's being in good shape will help him recover more quickly. |
