Topic: RIP Soots (NSC) Return to archive

Ten Thousand Motels I regret to report that our male cat of many years, "Soots" bit the dust this last weekend. He was actually quite old. I felt awful bad, but being a real man I never shed a tear. It seems that a Fisher or a Coy Dog got him is my guess. His nine lives ran out it seems. He killed one too many little birds I think....the karma caught up to him. Oh well life goes on.

gypsy I'm so sorry about Soots, TTM. I am a pet lover myself, and I know how difficult and sad it is to lose a beloved pet. I hope you'll be okay...I still cry sometimes over my dog, even though it's been six years...I had him for 18 years...they're like family...and sometimes better than family!

Thanks but I never heard that before. Of course I've never been to Heaven so I don't know for sure. But somehow that just doesn't seem quite right to me.

PEOPLE
Barbra Streisand
Written by B.Merrill-J.Styne-T. Santos

' I wanted to say something. And that is that we are all very important people
here tonight. And not because we individually are important today, but
because we've really done something important, and that is raised 300.000
dollars to hopefully elect the next president of the United States... So I'd
like to dedicate this next song to all you very important...

People,
People who need people,
Are the luckiest people in the world
We're children, needing other children
And yet letting a grown-up pride
Hide all the need inside
Acting more like children than children
Lovers are very special people
They're the luckiest people in the world
With one person one very special person
A feeling deep in your soul
Says you were half now you're whole
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world
With one person one very special person
No more hunger and thirst
But first be a person who needs people
People who need people
Are the luckiest people in the world... "

" Soots " was probably despondent over his name and might very well have thrown himself in the path of an oncoming car .............................

Our family once had a dog and we named him " Stay " .

Poor bastard never knew what hit him every single time someone in our family would bray , " Come Here !!!!! ........... Stay !!!!! ............... Come ! .. Stay !!! ............... Come Here , STAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ... STAY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ..... Come Here ..............Stay ?!?!?!?!

I duuno. I'm not really a big animal lover. But for some reason cats facinate me. I haven't got the patience to take care of a dog.

Well it could have been worse, it could have been dogs. That would have shaken my faith in the ancient Egyptians. As long as future historians get it right....20'th century fans worshipped the Rolling Stones and NOT the Beatles!

Ever notice how cats do not drink water at the same time that they eat . This is because during ancient times water was no where near where they caught their prey .
