This event will be a "10 out of 10" on the Wicked Pissa scale!
I shall wear a new Stones shirt every day this week in honor of the 2nd opening of a Stones tour in BEANTOWN.
I may even post these photos for all to hoot and howl over, starting today...

same as what I did for the last European tour.
I'll post the tour dates as a 'sticky', and the idea is that we get someone who is at the show to call someone else with the setlist - like the club show last week, there'll be a separate thread for the setlist, reviews and photos (Obviously the reviews and photos will be posted after the event)
For the European tour in 2003, I was pretty much available for text messages for most of the shows I wasnt at - but with the time difference its not practical this time as the shows will be over at about 4 or 5 am onwards where I am.
So basically, we'll need someone who isnt at the show in question to be available to post the setlist, having received a call or text message from someone who is actually there. I'll post a list of tour dates later and anyone who is willing to help can sign up. |

well it looks like this may be the 1st opener since '89 that I've missed. It sucks. But I guess I cant complain since I got into the Toronto club show.... and I'm still holding out hope that I'll be able to swing it.
Openers are the best. Not necessarily musically but as a Stones freak the excitement and buzz of what tunes they are going to play is a rush like no other. Everything about the opening night makes you feel like a kid on Christmas morning when you wake up and rush to see what Santa put under the tree. Only a hell of a lot cooler! You get to see the stage and all the shows bells and whistles for the 1st time. And just the whole excitement of OK - what songs next?
after the 1st gig you really cant get that again.
plus, historically theres always some really cool lesser played songs that make the 1st show or two and then get scrapped and are never heard from again. So its a great chance to catch some rare stuff.
I'm really jealous of everyone getting to invade Fenway for this. have fun!!!
