Tim Ries, The Rolling Stones Project Featuring Bernard Fowler, Darryl Jones & Michael Davis and Special Guests -
Presented by OneRedEye
"I thought what Tim recorded was amazing. The playing is beautiful too - Tim always has such a beautiful sound". Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards.
OneRedEye consultancy presents Tim Ries, the artist and composer who has been playing saxophone, keyboard and organ with the Rolling Stones since 1999.
The Rolling Stones Project is a collection that celebrates the iconic pop band and illustrates how ripe the groups' songs are for jazz renderings. The project comprises Tim Ries' 11 beautiful and classic arrangements by Jagger-Richards.
Alongside Ries will be the other artists who have been touring with the Stones, Bernard Fowler (vocals), Darryl Jones (bassist) and Michael Davies (trombonist). This is a timely celebration of Britain's finest rock band, as The Rolling Stones are playing the last few gigs of their worldwide tour at the O2 arena on the 21st, 23rd and 26th of August.
A portion of the monies raised from tickets purchased will be donated to the project Byte Night a programme run by the NCH - the children's charity who are raising money in support of young people coping with life after care or facing homelessness.
Wednesday, 22nd August 2007, Time: 8:30 pm - 10:30 pm
