Wanted: pool table for Mick Jagger
Aug 12 2005 12:02 PM ADT
CBC News
Organizers of the Rolling Stones concert in Moncton are scrambling to accommodate some of Mick Jagger's wishes.
Ian Fowler, the city's point man for the show, said he's trying to find an eight-by-12 pool table for Jagger's dressing room "so he can relax before the concert."
The Stones show at Magnetic Hill on the Labour Day weekend is being billed as the largest concert ever in Atlantic Canada.
On Friday, another 10,000 tickets went on sale, pushing the estimated crowd up to 85,000.
Three-quarters of the tickets already sold have gone to fans outside of New Brunswick, and 35 per cent of those tickets were bought from those outside of Atlantic Canada, according to city officials.

Howe ironicalistic is that? We're talking about a guy who has inspired God knows how many American criminals, those tattooed, toothless types you see lurking around places you want to just keep driving through. They all sit around saying, "Well, hell, if it's ok by Mick, I guess it's ok by me. I'll just go beat somebody's head in with a pool cue." |

There were some braying baby harp seals behind my house.
I wanted to sleep and they wouldn't shut up.
I hit them in the head with a pool cue.
Mick was right. |

Yeah, Keith and Ron like to play snooker before a show. So Mick took a cue from them? At the time of the BTB tour, he asked for video games in his room. |
