Just got back from the show.
Great, great show; lousy, lousy venue (was forced to sit on wet grass during most it).
She played in front of a pond and kept on talking about frogs & even mentioned how one of them had just crawled out on stage. She was in good spirits even if the crowd wasn't.
Shocked and pleased on how many songs she played from Car Wheels On A Gravel Road (eight to nine songs). She also played many new tunes. She said she had a bunch of new songs, 25, and wanted to play some of them for us which she promptly did. Lucinda said she is looking for the new album to be released in the spring of 2006.
This was my first time seeing her and I was impressed. |

she seems to be writing a lot of new songs as the tour progresses..from the recordings I've heard shes mentioned 23 new songs, 24, 25. etc..
shes played as much as 7 or 8 of them at some shows (depending on the length of the gig, if theres no curfew she plays for up to 2 and a half hours). The new stuff is VERY impressive. |

Forget The Blacked Eyed Prunes and No-tune 5, Lucinda should be warming up for the Stones, they blend well. |

Yeah that guitarist knows what he's doing -- Thanks LIL Brian for the live show. Car Wheels is a classic album, apart from Some Girls this is the only album that i've worn out - and that was on CD ! |

Lucinda has always had a knack for finding great guitar players. When I saw her for the first time 6 or 7 years back she had two guitarist. One was a laid back rocker dude from Austin. The better of the two looked like the father of Dennis the Menace. They traded licks on "Changed the Locks" and it kicked! |
