growing up with a dad who was an elvis "fanatic" i was overexposed to ep, however, as i grew older i learned the re-appreciation his undeniable talent. one thing is for certain he always had top flight musicians backing and recording with him even during his dreadful hollywood era and those bloated final days. james burton, scotty moore, dj fontana, jerry scheff, etc...

whens this from? 1975? seems so by the tracklisting
I know they recorded a few shows from spring of that year, some of which ended up on the 8-LP "Elvis aron presley" boxed set in the early 80's
quite a few of those songs werent played that often or didnt appear on live records, so it sounds quite interesting

Yeah I got this one and I remember not being blown away by it. It's a mediocre release from the FTD label. Most of the 75 stuff is just ok...nothing great in my opinion. If you've heard one show from that year--you've heard all of them from that year. |
