Anyone here familiar with Manu Chao? He was playing at the bandshell in my Brooklyn neighborhood last night to the biggest crowd I've ever seen there. I've never heard of him - am getting old & out of the loop.

ex singer of the mythic band called Mano Negra.
Now playing a kind of inoffensive electro world music.
Good guy, good records a little bit repetitive. |

Exile on Main St.
I got a new edition just today, from eil.com.
Its a Jap edition, digipack, including all the lyrics in English/Japonese, the postcards, obi-strip...fucking great graphic presentation.
The cardboard has exactly the same texture from the original vinyl. Amazing. Fucking high audio quality as well. I'm happy now

Mostly crummy third rate hair metal on XM but enough gems to make enduring them worth it. Right now The Ballad by Testament. Havent heard this song in so long. I have Practice What You Preach buried away on cassette somewhere but havent listened in about 15 years. Might have to try to dig that out again. |
