Stones in France celebrated in special edition of Les Inrocks
Les Inrockuptibles, the French weekly popular culture mag, celebrated the Stones's visit to France with a desirable Les Inrocks 2 special edition, The Rolling Stones: La Fabuleuse Histoire d‘Un Mythe des Sixties.
One hundred pages of informative articles and delicious photos, all from a French perspective, make for an artefact that Stones collectors will want to snap up. (Though I could manage without the nine track cover-mounted CD, a collection of Stones songs by others - listened to once, then filed…)
One possible error in the discography – Forty Licks is missing from the compilations evaluated – surely it had a French release?
Vive Les Inrocks – its coverage of rock music for grown-ups never fails to impress. Recommended.
