OK I'll admit it. I'm a James Bond fanatic. Even my ringer on my cell phone is the theme to Bond. So as I sit at work and watch Goldfinger tonight it occured to me that this movie franchise as some of the most iconic scenes in movie history.
My favorite scene is from Goldfinger in fact.
007 to Goldfinger as a lazer threatens to emasculate him-"Do you expect me to talk?!"
Goldfinger-"No Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!"
That one's easy, but there are many more.
Also the hottest Bond Girl ever is Sophie Marceau from The World Is Not Enough. Uh,......yes please!

I love this thread already.
And this also looks sexy when it's wet:
I'm still saving up for one of these!
It's Roger Moore and the Lotus Esprit as my definitive Bond.

Diamond Are Forever -- at the very end when Bond says he'd prefer a Claret. And one of the two homo killers says, I'm sorry, we are out of Clarets. And Bond says Rothschild is a Claret, and I've smelled that aftershave before, and everytime I've smelled a rat!!
Live and Let Die -- By the power, in-vested, in me, by the State of Louisianna, I hereby do commandeer this ve-hicle, and all persons in it. |

“My dear girl, there are some things that just aren’t done, such as drinking Dom Perignon ’53 above the temperature of 38 degrees Fahrenheit. That’s as bad as listening to The Beatles without ear muffs.”

I always found Live and Let Die to be hilarious --- James Bond meets Shaft! |

First time you see Bond in Dr. No. in that white tux, lighting a fag. You just know that he's the coolest guy on the planet...
Too bad the movies went stale in the eighties and upwards. |

Sean Connery was the best Bond. The other guys don't even come close. Too bad Pierce Brosnan couldn't get out of his "Remington Steele" contract when they tapped him for the part in the early '90s. He probably would have been a perfect fit back then.

I'll go with Goldfinger too. The scene where the clock counts down to 007 and stands still.
Another scene (I don't remember the name of the film right now, but it was with Kim Basinger, when she was hotter than me -- if such a thing is possible) takes place at some sort of gym. Bond (Connery) is attacked by some human gorilla, and manages to survive by throwing some dangerous chemical up to the rival's face. The chemical? Bond's urine. |

I think that one was Never Say Never, the return of Connery as Bond. |

I liked Sophie more in Braveheart than Bond but for best Bond girl, that goes to Jane Seymour in LALD. Sa-weet.

Never Say Never also has that cameo from Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean) as embassy attaché, Nigel Small-Fawcett.
Martial Arts instructor was Stephen Seagal! |

OK here's some Bond trivia for ya. Who first played Bond on film? No cheating.
Another great scene from The Spy Who Loved Me. The opening scene after Bond(Roger Moore)has killed the Russian agent he is being persued on skis down on mountain and then he skis right off the face of a sheer cliff. As he kicks off the skis he opens a parachute which is a huge Union Jack. One of the best openings in Bond franchise history. Oh,and,Barbara Bach too. Hottness personified.

Barry Nelson starrred as Bond in a made for TV CBS version of 'Casino Royale' that can be found as a bonus feature on the DVD of the uproariously trippy 1967 theatrical version...a DVD well worth owning

LOL! Yeah Capote was everything that Paul Lynde never was. I saw it in the theater as well. As for Bond films,I still remember going to see Diamonds Are Forever in 1971! Damn I'm feeling old!

The only Bond movie that i'm not really into is On Her Majesty's Secret Service. I have yet to sit through the whole picture. I don't know if it's George Lazenby or what but it just doesn't do it for me (as well, Telly Savalas as Blofeld? Who loves ya baby!)
Another not so great Bond flick: The Man with the Golden Gun. Only redeeming qualities: A villain with a cool name (Scaramanga), a flying car, the Bond Chick (forget her name) and Herve Villachaize (as Knick Knack). Oh, and the return of the Southern Sheriff (that chase scene is pretty funny!)
