Topic: Michael Anthony Is In Love With Sammy Return to archive
9th August 2006 01:50 PM
RollingstonesUSA VAN HALEN bassist Michael Anthony has posted the following message on his official blog:

"Sammy [Hagar] and I were very disappointed that we had to cancel the [August 6] show at the Soboba casino [in San Jacinto, CA]. Sammy was quite ill, and as our fans all know, he would never get up on stage ill, knowing he could not give our fans 110%, so we felt the right thing to do was cancel. It always sucks to have to cancel a show because of illness, but unfortunately it sometimes happens. We truely apologize to everyone, and hopefully something can be made up for it in the future."

Sammy Hagar is doing double duty while on tour this summer. He's playing a full set with his band the WABORITAS, and he's also doing a full-on VAN HALEN performance with THE OTHER HALF, which includes Anthony and WABOS guitarist Vic Johnson and drummerDavid Lauser.

SAMMY HAGAR AND THE WABOS's new album, entitled "Livin' It Up", was released on July 25 via Rhino Record.

rasputin56 Of course he is. Sammy's the only one who gives him steady work.
