I mean it's respectable, but being tied with Aerosmith? I think Soldatti had some newer figures that put us in 10th place...except for Hot Rocks and to a lesser extent Some Girls, we never had huge sales ....ABB did not help us one bit.

pdog These sales figures always show me just how bad of taste most consumers have!

M.O.W.A.T. You would think that with all the ABKCO/Virgin re-issues, the Stones would rank a little higher. I know that I now own 3 versions of 40 Licks as well as two of ABB, Rarities and Sucking in the 70s!

I think these numbers are close, but I believe we hit 67 million...I need Soldatti to confirm as he is truly the king of numerology and a great fan.

voodoopug George Strait is a legend in Country Music and I respect his work quite a bit...most of the others (aside from the Stones) make me want to vomit.

Soldatti The whole Abcko catalog needs new certifications. From recent releases, Jump Back is already Platinum and 40 Licks is on its way for a 6x Platinum award. The Stones should be (at least) #9 on the list.

You don't own Zep IV, Back in Black, Dark Side, or the White Album? Those are great fucking albums.

It's not the taste, it's the cluelessness/disinterest that most people have to actually FIND better music than what's flung in their faces.
My dad thinks the world stop releasing albums after "classic rock" ended.

jb I am still always puzzled/skeptical by the seemingly low #'s for the "Big 4" Stones albums....hard to beleive how few allegedly sold in the U.S.

In all candor, there are no gropus on that list that I would care to see....the only one 1/2 decent in his younger years was Billy Joel.
