After a little thought (very little) I think the stage will be ground level and the front row seats will be the On Stage ones?

The stage looks enormous! I think I might be able to see the STONES from my way up high stadium seats! |

There is that point when you first peer into whatever venue you are catching the Stones and you see that stage!
I remember it most vividly for '81 cuz it was so big and so in the middle of the day -- it just looked awesome!
And then they cut it to shreds because of the wind! I remember the light riggings over Charlie swingin' all over the place! Roadies mounted the stage and razored that beautiful stage! You wanna talk raw STones -- just a big skeleton of metal with no skin!
I remember Steel Wheels -- it was my first nite Stones show -- the stage was busy but the drippy trippy stuff during 2000 Light Years was wild!
VL was the first stage that just made me stare -- what in THE hell is that thing over the top? A cobra? Guitar? Semirigid member of sorts??
Didn't care for Bridges stage -- way too much.
NS was neat.
Stripped down and leathery!
Someone once posted that there were certain similaities between the 1999 stage design and that of the 1969 tour.
They had all sorts of things like the omega shape of the stage and the omega on Mick's shirt.
And the way the speakers looked
All sortsa Lincoln/Kennedy type things.
(Did you know that the night before he died, Abraham Lincoln spent the night in Monroe, Maryland, and the night before Kennedy died...)
I liked Licks -- especially the stadium set up -- not overdone, but a neat visual for all.
I like a good stage design.
Its Stonesian altar
It is important! |
