RollingstonesUSA I can't wait to see The Who!
7th August 2006 01:54 PM
jb I will not see them as they are not coming to S. Fla. They seem to be hitting the right markets this time with better than average results. The Stones, in contrast, have, imo, made some mistakes in their choices this time.

Dan They are also playing San Jose Nov 8 which pretty much rules them out as opening for the Stones in Oakland or Phoenix. Wherever did that silly rumor come from?

Also just pulled up Sec E row 13 for the Hollywood Bowl. Decent seat but too expensive for $170. Saw Queen/Paul Rodgers from the same section for $16 and Nine Inch Nails for $15. I'd pay $40-50 to see The Who from there.

MrPleasant This can't be good for Pete.

jb I think the Who opening for the Stones was always more a dream than reality. Why would they? They are in the same ranks in terms of legendary groups, and as much as it hurts to admit, have always blown our boys off the stage ..............

Jumping Jack Quite true. The Stones need crappers like Canine West to look good by comparison. I guess they learned something from SARS afterall.
