well in my book that redeems this whole timberpond business

good on keith - no matter what people say who else but he would have the balls to play a song older than himself and one that i venture to suggest just about no-one in the audience would have heard of let alone associate with the stones

i imagine most of the audience was going "WTF" - and keith couldn't give a f%$k - he just wants everybody to hear the tune because, whether they realise it or not, that is what they need to hear

just goes to show that it is but a step (or a song) from the sublime to the ridiculous

Yep...that's what he wrote.
I sent a message back to him telling him not to worry...I haven't heard a word from him since.
I'm sure he's got a good story to tell us.
(Be kind, you guys, lol.)

Xyzzy...thanks for finishing the list up for us.

sandrew Is it me, or is anyone else bothered by the fact that the regular show is only four songs longer than the set they played on the heels of a day-long festival featuring, what, 15 acts?

Prodigal Son Y'know, everyone seemed to like Keith doing "The Nearness of You." I say Keith does a solo album of blues and jazz standards. The man's grace ages like a fine wine. Being at the simulcast, it was wonderful to see him do that and a standing O preceeded it. Toronto, Calgary, all rock fans love Keith. He had undeniable presence tonight. Ronnie's slide work was good and the guitar cam was cool. There appeared to be leveling problems at first with Start Me up, but from there it was good. I mean, on TV and in person it was certainly better than the lousy speaker transmission we had. There was no sense of rhythm or chord movement and I could hardly tell sometimes what people were saying and the vocals were truly muddled. But the ferocious Stonesmania was enough to make me enjoy the night thoroughly, especially when everyone went on the arena floor and danced.
