stone jr. When the Stones lauched the 2002-2003 tour, Mick said their will be a "The Best Of The Rolling Stones" with songs from 1963-1997 plus 4 new songs. He made a joke and said it will come in the early 40's. But the album could come this year or 2003.

Sir Stonesalot Oh WOW! Really? A "Best of..." this year?!? Are you sure?

I don't know, sounds kinda farfetched to me...

mattb The story I had always followed was Alan Klein wanted to use the real original masters for quite some time, but they were somehow under the Stones' control. The only way he could get the original masters would be to allow the Stones' to use some of the recordings ABKCO has the rights to on their records. This is why there hasn't been a box set except for the major Rolling Stones Records box set that came out about ten years ago in Europe. Maybe this will all come out in the wash in either Bill Wyman's second Stones book or Andrew Loog Oldham's second or third book.

On June 16, 2001 the hit counter of the WET page was inserted here, it had 174,489 hits. Now the hit counter is for both the page and the board. The hit counter of the ITW board had 1,127,645 hits when it was closed and the Coolboard didn't have hit counter but was on line only two months and a half.
