Yeah, Slide on This is quite good, but there are other's of Ronnie's that are great as well...
Slide on Live is practically a companion to Slide on This because of the live versions of some of the songs, and some great classics like "I Can Feel the Fire" "Pretty Beat Up".
Live and Eclectic is a very recent live album ALMOST like Slide on Live, almost the same set list but more of a closer atmosphere, for it was recorded in a much more intimate place. Fantastic version of IORR.
Not For Beginners is Ronnie's latest solo studio album released earlier this year. This is very good. I recommend you getting this one next. Excellent instrumentals of Ronnie on the slide, and wonderfully written ballads. Ronnie knows how to get the job done! "Hard Rocker" is just what it means--loud, in your face rocker.
Anyone who doubts Ronnie's abilities can eat their words when they listen to this album. Simply put: excellent. |

All of Woody's solo works have merit. I know many folks don't care for it much, but I think 1234 is a great album. Never even released in US on CD....can only find OOP imports now. Outlaws and She Never Told Me are killer cuts. |
