Thought it was interesting enough but did anyone else hear some guy slagging them off a couple of times.I thought it was supposed to be a celebration of the band being together 40 years. He called Jagger pathetic a couple of times( ill maybe let him off with the girls dress at hyde park thing) but also said that Woody joining was a sign that the Stones couldn't be bothered anymore.(Im sure some "Taylors" would agree, lol) Ill still tune in next week though but it seems we'll never hear a UK TV or radio broadcast without some smart-alex comments.
Top of the Pops 2 is however having a Stones special nearer to the start of the tour. Please play Brown Sugar '71! Haven't seen much from TOTP except a couple of sixties performances and Undercover. |

Much as I like to hear old/unheard interviews I must point out some unbelievable quotes from this BBC show:
"In 1960 Keith was 17 and Mick 16"(when and HOW did Mick grew older?)
"Come on came out June 7th,1962"
"Stew stayed with the Stones for 25 years"(62+25=88,he died in 85)
"Jagger purchased some pills legally in France in 67"
Unfortunally even archivist B.Wyman helps out with inaccurancies when he said the 1st Marquee gig happened on 26 July 1962!

theres quite af ew factual errors in Bill's "Stone alone" book too..its not quite as definitive an account as some would have you believe... |
