Topic: Buying the Stones' discography--need some help with the UK/US thing. Return to archive
July 29th, 2005 12:07 PM
Rolling Beatle Okay, first of all, I have no Stones albums, save Forty Licks and Hot Rocks.

Looking at the Stones on CD, it's confusing as Hell. For some reason, they released the US albums, and not the UK albums that THEY originally made? Why not just do what The Beatles did and release all their UK albums?

But now some of the UK albums ARE out? I'm so confused.

If I want to buy the Stones discography, I'd want the UK albums if possible, but there's only a few--what's a buyer to do?

Thanks a lot,
Beatle

Thanks a lot, but I know which ones have been released in the UK versions and such, I'm just wanting some advice on how to buy the discography from dedicated Stones fans--If I want all their 60s albums on CD, what should I do?

JaggerLips You have a lot of collecting to do!
I got into them when I got 40 Licks when it was released and they proceeded to buy every album I could get, I then went to see them on the Licks tour at the Manchester MEN Arena.

It's worth getting everything in the list of studio albums, I've just got a few more to go and I've got the lot

JaggerLips I just have these to get black and blue and then I've got all the studio albums, not too bothered about the compilations or the live albums at the moment.
